Defending with the black pieces, Kasparov draws first blood as he wins his opening round match with Karpov. Using the Gruendfeld defense, he subdued his arch nemesis in 24 moves after Karpov losing his knight piece. Check out commentaries by Jason Juett of Chessdom
Well I hope this game doesn't reflect the overall feel of the match. I still wanted this to be an exciting one.
